Opening the eyes, is like opening the window to your soul
Opening the eyes, is like opening the window to your soul
Today I was wondering, if the blog world was like a map or a type of chart, what color do you see the world in?
I have even known a few people who were colored blind, does this translate to design?
Is there a blend of the right color scheme? Or are we confident enough to live with what we love?
I know an artist who paints, he is colored blind. Does this reflect his artistic style? Or if the viewer was unaware, would this sway their interpretation of his artwork? An interesting question, one that I can see crosses over to design style.So, I ask you, do you see things in a specific color? Or is your style one that blends into your own color wheel?
For me, I do see in a more neutral palatte, but I also infuse what I love, whether it is an "in" coloror not. The end result does seem to be my own color wheel and gradiation of color's.
Do you see through the eyes of blue, brown, green, amber or hazel?
Do you like a little blue in your decor?
A splash of the blue in a relaxed design, a hint of blue and white? My great grandmother collected blue & white dinner ware, it seemed to go with everything.
This year is the year for turquoise, as seen here by Miles Redd, a lovely hue.
Or,
To you go weak in the knees with a splash of ocean color? A sea salt inspired bluish theme?
I am definately a brown eyed girl;
This seems to say to me; come in, sit down and stay a while.
I think I need the touches of a little blue, and perhaps an injection of a little color as well.
And,
Even a little shade of brown in different intensities is nice!
Throw in some silver and cream and you have got something here.
Then, without thinking ......
It is Spring, green is the reigning color and all things are in bloom.
A room with a different view, green grasscloth and zebra printed chairs by Chad Hoeft.
Or;
The tiniest spaces can use an injection of color.
This smallish dorn room was painted RL Tapestry Green by Maximilian Sinsteden ( while inspired from Charlotte Moss's summer interning work )
Then there was, hazel .......
an interesting combination and a color that changes from hour to hour as the sun and the light changes.
The golden and grren hues that work so well together, almost a hint of blue as well.
Love the golden greens and the touches of blue.
House Beautiful November, 2007
I love the intensity of color but the restrained overall look of this room.
And,
This room, inspired and created by Charlotte Moss has the understated beauty of a well lived in and comfortable room.
As the day moves, this room surely takes on a new feel and look.
The world is a visual treat; I am surprised and engaged daily at the colors and intensities of light and it's way of making color possible.
