Jack & Atlas....... Pet Portrait

Two peas in a pod;.......

A recent commission for a Pet Portrait was in order for my two ( nephews )......

Having the canvas for a while; the idea finally hit me for their likeness. Something not too over the top but different; a little hip!

I mean look at these two, does it get much cuter than this?

Lab love?

Brothers; ( from another mother ) Atlas & Jack ( l to r )....

Atlas;

Named for the Atlas Grill, located in historic downtown Tulsa. A vibrant athletic type, a swimmer and talker!

His nose is usually the first thing that you see when you come in the door. He uses it to sniff, smell & say hello!

These portraits needed to be a little realistic yet different, in the end I think they were a hit. Also, the background reflects their love of water; 99.9% of the time they are in & out of their pool, weather permitting!

Jack;

Loyal ever faithful ( cinnabear ), with soulful eyes and always extending his paw to say hello. A watcher, roaring fire lover, and although the bigger of the pair he is content by standing by. His size towers over Atlas, but SShh!!! I don't think he knows, love him as he is an ol softie and loves to lounge!

Again, a little bit of hip thrown in, as these boys love to put on the dog!

And the use of water, let's just say he loves a dip now & then too!
