POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE

Post it!

I found this image via homelife au site, of a lovely vignette of postcards used in such an interesting way.
The article discuss's the idea of only using images from a theme or type of theme. If everything relates to something, it is more interesting. Well, I think this is extremely good looking, and a little bit of order in what could be chaotic! I am really liking this look, if you do not want this much try an area behind a built in desk or an office space.

Also a wall or small niche or alcove works best for this application. It feels like wallpaper, only living wallpaper. I could even see this in black and white or sepia tone photography.

A closer look at this wall of posted goodness.

I also found a few more uses for the postcard image. There are so many uses for this medium, and what a conversation piece!

Cavallini Paris postcard labels

A paper chain of postcard inspired paper from Lobster & Swan blog

A bowl or rattan tray looks great with vintage postcards or even love letters. What a great read for guests or a conversation piece for party goers.

Gift tags from kick can and conkers site

A personalized pillow from Etsy to fill in the blanks!
