W
All the whoop lah had me searching for a great spot to head south and shop the quarter. The W is nestled among the sounds of jazz, bourbon street clicking, and the big easy feel of New Orleans. This ultra - hip hotel is located smack in the middle of the French Quarter.
I am thinking of my next big south big easy trip, the W should be a big contender!
A cozy spot to sit and chat.
The fountain and the staircase to the main level.
The patio and lounge area.
Courtyard with lounge area.
W - Pool
Shop till u drop
And while you are there; stop by the local antiques stores and fill up your carry on or ship home a few treasures! Of course if you find just the right piece, you can always rent a U - Haul truck and enjoy the countryside on your return trip!
Antiques in a row, one, two , three, four .......
Be sure to stop by Perch when you are in New Orleans, be sure to say Who Dat?
To Valorie the Visual Vamp when you stop in!

I was so touched when researching New Orleans art & antiques when I found these images from Stephen Voss. You can view his site at:
These images are from the churches of the Lower Ninth Ward. Six months after Hurricane Katrina devestated New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward, the churches remain silent. Their interiors are filled with water logged hymn books, mud covered organs and scattered pews.Traces of the life that once washere are everywhere.

Thanks for the love!
2005 New Orleans learned it was okay to cry.
2006 when the Dome reopened we learned it was okay to smile again

*sigh....seeing Keils Antiques brings back fond memories for me. New Orleans is me & My hubbie's favourite spot, and we still go several times a year. We went to Keil's looking for a wedding ring a few years back, after my son flushed mine (4th generation. ring, not son.) down the toilet. *sigh.....memories.

I am sorry to hear, but I AM SURE THE CHOICES FOR A NEW RING WERE MANY!
