Au revoir mon ami ...

Spring Break

That magical time of the year again where your last time to play before summer is here and the kiddos are out of school. I plan to play and get some work done this coming week. The posts may be light, as I am totally distracted by many things.

Have a great upcoming week; and remember to take a little time to be distracted.

Au revoir mon ami......

An old rusted wire mesh cage pictured by James Merrell, but I saw one very similar to this back in Jan at Barney's in the John Derian booth. Imagine it as a lighting fixture / hinging light pendant. How the light would dance across the ceiling?
 Think outside the box.

Like these books and the cloth covered chair, a simple slipcover. Modern meets ancient here, it works!
No idea on the source.

No time to read that book; perhaps a wreath instead?

This charming vintage French book wreath comes from Living with Lindsey, blogger

Another thing to ponder? The onyx room or a wall, what a statement.I like the simple box panels for wainscotting, and light ashy flooring.
Also seen by J.M.

Loving this settee and table; by James Merrell The portrait of an animal is striking as well, adorned with pet kitten, monkey in a monkey suit? Huummm......

Vintage picture of the eastern bloc beach, by Fredrick Chaubin.
Wish I was here, this looks so wonderful right about now!

Au revoir!

I'm totally enamoured with the James Merrell pic. Yes, you are so right about objects being used for something other than their original purpose. I must try & shift my thinking more laterally!
