Grow Green, Grow Strong!
Putting in three raised beds this weekend for a bountiful harvest of veggies this summer. I am including a little inspiration for any other do-it-yourself green thumbs out there.
A first time attempt from my significant other. T-row is working the plans, specs and has the specific layout in mind. A big endeavor for this weekend. We will be up to our knees in greens.
A little inspiration........
What a lovely entrance into a garden in full bloom.
Another well spaced and planned garden.
A country coop garden with many helping hands.
Garden gates are as equally wonderful, the eyes to the entrance of your garden, fun to make unique.
I can only hope my garden will be half as beautiful as this one! From the movie it's complicated.
How about a wonderful tent to enjoy the harvest?
Or a quiet place to sit and walk or pick the fruits of your labor?
A possible outdoor dining table for enjoying the veggies and fruits? Love the greek key table cloth.
Or perhaps a more comfy and laid back feel of a country garden. I love the simple understated burlap table cloth.
Another place to sit back, take off those hunter boots or clogs and enjoy life for a while.

In other news........
If you are in the area this Saturday morning my friend and Cherry Street board member told me this is the first weekend for the Tulsa Cherry Street Farmers Market. What is really great is that it has moved. The market is taking it to the streets with three streets along Cherry Street to set up the market. This Sat 7 - 11 a.m. & on Wednesday mornings coming in May - October.

Line the bottoms of your new beds with thick newspapers and the earthworms will come running. They will eat it up in no time and stick around to amend your soil. It will also help cut down on the weeds. Cardboard will work too.
Thanks Donna! I was just saying the other day, I need to get rid of some cardboard! Have a wonderful weekend!
