Arf to Mom's Day....

Bow Wow

A few months ago my friend, commissioned a portrait for a good friend who had "lost" her baby this past October. The friend was mutual, a friend known since high school. With my computer in hand and an eye to crop I deceided on a few pics and sent them back for approval. We narrowed it down to one picture and the sketching began.

The commission began to be a quest to capture Norman at his best! Not ever meeting the pup before, I was on my own but I saw a sense of love and affection in the eyes of Norman. A loyal companion and friend, one who had been around for a long time and was sorely missed by his mom. I think the end result shows a little lively and happy dog, some piece of his life that can stand still and recapture his likeness for his mom.

This mothers day weekend she is in town, and meeting her friends for dinner. I just handed off the portrait to my friend to present at dinner tonight to Shawn. I could not think of a better time to give it to her.

I hope it will remind you of your baby and bring peace knowing Norman is in a better place. Thank's for the opportunity to capture Norman's likeness.
