Design on a Dime.

Manhattan

Cold, blistery wind and snowflakes were falling, in December 09' in Manhattan. That is around the time I was out and about winding up in Housing Works. Man was it a sight for sore eyes! A great little store with items donated for resale to benefit Aids & HIV research and cure. It is a treasure trove with aisles and rows of high end, unique and designer items for sale & auction.

If you are not familiar; Housing Works is an organization committed to ending the two twin crisis of NYC: Aids & Homelessness. Housing Works believes that ALL people have the right to a rich and empowering life.Since 1990, the highest quality services have been provided for homeless men, women and children living with HIV & AIDS in New York City and beyond.

My own recent online auction find: A bronze horse & acrobatic rider sculpture. This guy is on my desk in the studio.I saw in the window leaving on my second trip in January of this year. Mine was actually found on the Upper East side of Manhattan, but there are several locations throughout NYC.
