End of the Line..... whats on your line ??

What is on your line?

An interesting thing I have seen this week in the blogging world.
The end of two rather well received blogs have ceased their writing. Decorno & An Aesthete's Lament are pulling up anchor and sailing into other unknown waters. I stumbled upon this by Patricia's post on AKA Mrs. Blandings & An Aesthete's Lament Blog.

It is a funny world out there in the blogging realm. You think, you blog and you get feedback from other bloggers as well as readers. I cannot speak for other bloggers, I have been blogging for enough time to know that it is hard work, mainly not for financial gain and must come from the heart to truly succeed. Why does one blog? My answer to that is to express my interest in design and to send my thoughts, accomplishments and ideas out to other people interested in the same things.

I am sure everyone out in blog land has a different reason, but that is true with everything when it comes to people. To me, blogging is a way to explore without travel, look without committing to a purchase, and share with others while also getting back from other blogs. People blog for different reasons, to me I blog because something strikes up a post, a project, picture or experience that I feel worthy to share with others. Of course, there are times when I get just as much if not more from another blogger.

In general, most bloggers are writing posts for a simple reason ....... sharing. It goes all the way back to pre school, there are those who share, those who take and those who sit in the corner and do not communicate with anyone. So, I suppose my message is to blog for the love of blogging. If you truly put your heart and soul into something you will be successfull, if you are doing something for the wrong reasons karma is a bitch!

Good luck and good tidings to those who have done their time, wish to move onto whatever endeavor they see in their future. Change is good, embrace it and dare to see yourself putting time and energy into another faucet of life.

Good Friday to all.......

I am adding a picture that sums up my visual thought for this post.

It is the artist that put his / her soul on the line. There is always a critic to follow the unveiling.

And, they are all critics... Some of my favorite blogs have gone and/or are posting much less. Makes you wonder.

I think what occurs is that it can become overwhelming, your followers want to hear from you and see your latest works.

I love reaching out to others around the globe, it is very heartwarming. As a professional artist, also working full time, family, etc., sometimes I do need to regroup!

Yes Donna;
It is an interesting creature of the blogging world. Much thought about that, too.

Thanks for stopping by;

Thoughtful post today Leslie. I think blogging is a transient thing - you try it and it plays an all important role for a while, but at some point, it's served it's purpose. Some will stick and others won't. I think it's brave for people to pull up stakes and walk away when the time is right.

So true K;

I can relate and agree with you.
I am always excited to share and to also reach people that I would never reach if it were not for the internet.

I agree Linda;

I see it as a positive move, not a negative one when it is time to pick up and move on.

Thanks,

Linda.
