Still
Well, we are almost there, just one more day. I am finishing up another pet portrait. I will have more on this after the weekend. For now things are still. Still is good for a while, but not for too long. Which brings me to a few things that can make being still more comfy & definately more stylish. For now, sit, stay & be still.
I think there are some definate elements in these rooms that would want to make me sit and stay a while.
To be still.......to me that seems like a gift.
To be able to be content and still all at the same time?
Great color as well as the pattern in the tile backsplash. I am also loving the salmon painting over the range .
A burst of color, much like a wrapper of starburst chews!
The faded, aged walls of this room, along with the trumeau painting is devine. I am drawn to bold as well as muted and aged colors. The setting is the defining line that need not be crossed.
I love the playfull design of this wooden porch. The colors are wonderful as well as whimsical. The collection of artwork behind the peacock blue sofa is fabulous. Fine art or child inspired priceless works of art, they stand beside one another very well.
There's something about this bathroom that say's .....Miles Redd to me. I am sure it is the stripes, along with the Eggret is a dynamic duo.
Again the French inspired walls, furnishings and antique alabaster and onyx flooring. I could not help but love the English squirrel perched a top the basket of notions.
A favorite of mine is the portrait. This quad of four is a great collection of those nearest and dearest to the homeowner. The almost sketchy feel of the canvas is real and fresh. A touch of zebra and a few relics some functioning and some not, make for a great collection.
What storage space issue? There seems to be plenty here. What a great use of materials, once again reusing and repurposing the un decorated style.
Lastly; What about a place to sit, and see the world around you? Hear the rustling of the tree leaves, listen to the song of a robin, and smell the flowers as the bloom and release their sweet scent.
I think I am still as I can be at the moment; a paintbrush not too far away.
