Dark Side.....
This month many will venture to and from the dark side to have a bite of darkness. To some just a nibble will suffice, to others a plunge into a deep vat of darkness is the only cure. I like to live in a darker palate with a hint of whiter goodness and a mixture of the two combined into a swirl of neutral goodness.
Which brings me to the post, do you divulge your taste for a darker palate or do do dive into the darkness plunging into your inner depths?
Godiva chocolate pop
Love this guy, I would say he is sweet to the bone!
Aaah yes, death by chocolate!
Aaah yes, death by chocolate!

I fell in love with this image from a dark inner aspect. The cabinetry and that floor, a complete contradiction to the light and airy feel of my French favorites.
Elle Decor
This library room is the ultimate in deep dark secrets hiding within the walls and beyond those book covers!
RL
To the Ralph; high gloss darkness to the best.
A splash of glossy metal and a dash of black and white hide.
Thibaut Gator
This highly textured deep gator skin wall is a favorite of mine, on the most endangered list of new faux treatments which I would like to try out!
Toddyoggy
Yet another deep lair, unbeknown to many a retreat of utter relaxation for this collector and deep dark hunter. Though deep in color those walls take on the color of Frankensteins laboratory and those beakers full of concoctions.

Saving the best for last, this kitchen though dark in color and feel is bright and full of life. This look seems sophisticated and yet modern at the same time. My eye was first drawn to the high and skinny wine storage open unit. What a way to store your poison of choice or coveted witchly brew!

Lately I've been drawn to the dark side.
I've noticed a lot of designers are painting windows and doors deep blue/black, getting that steel window vibe for a fraction of the price. It's also very dramatic against light walls.
I'm also loving that RL image. Ralph never disappoints!

Brooke
So true Brooke;
I HAVE TO SAY CHOCOLATE IS MY STAPLE, Some of my friends call my home the chocolate bar house.
Brown, rice beige and cream splashed in everywhere is apparent.
My windows are of the lighter nature; but recently I found a great paint for just those types of windows (vinyl, greener choice)I must paint them out, they are killing me!
So right about Ralph, A long term love affair for me.
