Loving the front row Ralph Lauren looks for Fall
I was really loving the sneak peek over at the Tartan Scot blog. I am always up for a new line of RL and the look at whats around the corner for Fall 2011 looks like it will not disappoint.
Funny how there is also a great nod to home interiors and fashion design.
I am loving the faux fur accessories, shiny finishes and a little exotic touches mixed with classic looks and lines. Reminds me of luxurious fur throws, pillows, shiny lacquered walls and decorative finishes and exotic sequined and beaded pillows and fabulous pieces from small exotic countries.
Have a peek, as I did with my preview via email.
If you could not be at NYC fashion week it's the next best thing!
Some of the rows of shoes for the fashion week runway show.
Ready for the Fall fashion's we will sport this autumn.
I love the shiny collection with leather, gloss like lacquered finishes and glamorous Art Deco finishes.
The Eastern influence is also captivating in classic black and chic looks with accessories in an Eastern flair and finishing touch. The lace touches and the jacket infused with colors is unlike anything that has met the runway.
Glamour, shine and classical Art Deco finishes are font runners in the Chic Deco collection.
So surrounded with Deco finishes here, this collection is reminiscent of big oil boom and roaring twenties with oil Barron style.
Texture texture, be it shiny, warm velvet, nubby linen, distressed leather or clean airy linen and classic black cotton or wool.
From our backs to our homes the parallel feel is 0 degrees of separation, so it seems.
From photo sets to that fab Eastern coat.......how great looking.
Concept to runway looks, love the connection from a thought to a well executed look.
Just a few reinforcements and baubles to adorn those gorgeous looks!
Wow this is a nod to the great Hollywood icons from the past, the golden age of glam and those shiny looks from the Deco age.

Waiting to walk the walk........
Hats and dark long skirts are just a few sneak peeks into the Fall collection and it's appeal to the classical time when women dressed like women and to dress was a totally different experience.

Spring 2011 has never looked so good.
The feel of the Old West like it walked right down Park Avenue.
A little metallic cocktail dress paired with a Texan sized western belt buckle, brilliant!
Is there nothing better than suede and silky, soft feminine finishes?
The belted shirt is another level of leather or croc embossed finishes.
That suede dress is simply divine!
A little crocheted lacy shirt, heels and shiny clutch is oh so city chic.
A collection of buckles and broncos, cows and that ain't no bull!
More backstage waiting and eager anticipation to hit the stage.
Bravo! Bravo!
Coming to a department store or online very soon!
Now go, shop and fill those closets!

I did attend several of the shows (you can stop by if you want to see my write ups) but not Ralph. I saw it featured over at Scott's and online and thought it was beautiful.Interestingly, it's one of the only lines that had that much black - there is going to be a lot of color this fall - I would assume that when his line hits the stores there will be many additional pieces with more color.
Q~
I will have a stop by, yes he does black well. There is usually a little more color even if it is subdued.
I just loved the last few collections thgat were shown, the western and city influence is wonderful.
