Restraint
I think of this word when viewing fascinating interiors from Todd Yoggy.
I love the ethereal warm undertones and richly cultivated textures incorporated into his rooms.
There is a sharp, keen eye directing these sets!
Order, can be good or bad. In this case I nod my head to good.
Each room seems to fluidly blend into a theme, so effortlessly. There is more to come, but sit back and try these few samplings. Let them roll across your palate and savor the ingredients that bring these elements into a connected recipe.
These are some that you might want to clip and save or pass down.
I love this bedroom. Just the right amount of comfort, pedigree and collection. Not too much, yet a classic feel with comfy features.
Hip with a little modern art, and a fireplace in the bedroom too! A little gilt on a lamp or two and dark lamp shades really weigh in on this room.
I think it is the hunter in me (flea markerteer) that really does get this room!
The dark walls, ever so dark and disappearing curtain panels and the trophies scatterred through the room.
A tortoise shell, leopard pelt, and all sprawling across a beautiful chesterfield!
The very fragile and delicate intaglio collection is boldly juxtaposed against strong color and classical feeling features.
The color in the background really does coordinated with the sofa.
This room, though freshly furnished still gives nod to a classical feel and texture.
Though the oil paintings to the marble statues, mantle carvings and antique pavers come from different periods it is their antiquity that combines them.
Some subtle, some strong but very well suited and alone might not work but really come together as a grouping.
This one is like stepping into my church's catherdral. I love the gothic arches and features of this room. The colored sofas really balance the strong architecture.
I am also fond of that mantlepice. It looks as it could reside in Westminster Abbey.Wooden coffee table and carved limestone really plays off each texture here, from ceiling to rug underfoot.
My favorite thing is all the room is softened by simple orchids.
So there you have his point of view,
Todd Yoggy
