Il Aime
Now, I am loving this kitchen right now.
I had dog eared the pages a while ago. Really good looking and so evolved feeling in color, style and mixture of cabinetry finishes.
Really considering this one for a kitchen to grow into with a growing family.
I really like the mixture of plaster, wood stained, old chippy worn cabinetry and sleek appliances, clean walls and rustic beams on the ceiling.
This is a favorite featured from Veranda.
This kitchen looks together but could not be further apart in color, composition and different finishes and textures. Yet it works. The dark lower cabinets, contrast to the hexagonal tiles interlocking on the floor.Sleek counter tops are juxtaposed to dark granite slab on the island. All the ingredients of a evolved and timeworn kitchen.I love the carved out corner, the niche with spaced out chippy cabinets.Open light filled room with open sleek plastered ceiling, rough cut hand hewn beams and sleek and modern wire pendant lighting with shade over the island.
A detail of the flooring and the hexagonal tile interlocking pattern.
Just a bit of ornamental decorative painting on the island makes the kitchen workhorse move up like a piece of antique furniture.
Really makes the space and adds a dash of color to an otherwise neutral room.
The details in the lower cabinetry seems to say vintage antique furniture. From the legs to the hardware this cabinetry looks like it was built with the home many years ago.Just the right amount of green and living plantings that just say welcome and sit down.
Now this kitchen really feels well worn and well a part of this home.
Although it seems to be rather new and existing for just a short amount of time!

Thanks for sharing - this kitchen is exactly something I am looking for to refurbish my kitchen.
The only personal change I make is the lighter colors of down cabinets - maybe worn off whites.

It is one of my favorite too.
I love the Old World feel, in a newly remodeled or constructed kitchen.
